GUERRILLA FILMMAKING BOOTCAMP

DESCRIPTION:
Guerrilla Filmmaking Bootcamp is a one-day intensive hands-on workshop that teaches almost all aspects of digital film production. Over the course of the day, students will work together under the instructors guidance to shoot a scene using professional video equipment and professional actors, and will have a DVD of the result to bring home at the end of the day. Topics will include:
Lighting
Sound
Camera Work
Directing Actors
Shot Flow
Process and Workflow

This will be a great opportunity for students from beginners who want to learn the basics up to intermediate filmmakers who want to learn how to get better results. The class will be fun, interactive and hands-on every step of the way.

REFUND POLICY:
If you cancel your registration for a class in writing 72 hours before the session, you will receive a refund, minus a $15 drop fee. You must email your notice to john@dcfilminstitute.org. Refunds will be issued via PayPal. We cannot give credit toward future classes. The WFI reserves the right to drop classes that are undersubscribed. In such case, a full refund will be issued.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS:
BARRY GRIBBLE and KEVIN GOOD are award-winning film and television makers. They recently created "Saving Corporate America", a pilot presentation for FOX TELEVISION STUDIOS, which screened at the 2008 NEW YORK TELEVISION FESTIVAL. Their spec TV Pilot, "Codeword Secret", was handpicked for a mentorship with Phil Rosenthal, the creator of EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND.


BARRY and KEVIN's work has also been featured at the BOSTON INTERNATIONAL FILM FEST, CINEQUEST, DC SHORTS, THE LOS ANGELES INDEPENDENT TELEVISION FESTIVAL, THE EDINBURGH INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION FESTIVAL, THE BEST OF THE 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT, and at a special exhibition screening in the Short Film Corner at CANNES FILM FESTIVAL.

BARRY was a writer/producer on the ANIMAL PLANET show: "The A-List". He has also DP'd for VH1 and THE HISTORY CHANNEL.

KEVIN does freelance editing and cinematography. His sketch comedy troupe won a nationwide contest to film a pilot for PROCTOR & GAMBLE PRODUCTIONS as part of the 2007 NEW YORK TELEVISION FESTIVAL. He is currently a freelance instructor at Future Media Concepts and BOSTON UNIVERSITY's Center for Digital Imaging Arts.
